Once you’ve matched with someone, head to the Chats tab to start or continue a conversation. Here, you can get to know each other and see if you click. The Chats tab is your go-to spot for all your chats and matches.
Likes and Matches
At the top of the Chats tab, you’ll see everyone who’s liked or matched with you.
- Tap a match to start a conversation if you haven’t already
- Send a nice intro message, or use a GIF to break the ice!
Messages
In Messages, you can chat with your matches:
- Type your message and hit Send
- Add a GIF or, if available, send a gift (using credits) to make it special
- Ready for something more personal? Start a video chat or voice call right in the app—your phone number stays private
- It's not possible to delete or unsend a message you've sent, or delete a specific message you've received
Online status
You can also see when other members are active by looking at the colored dot next to their profile photo:
Green dot: The member is Online Now
Red dot: The member was Recently Online (active within the last few hours)
Grey dot: The member is Offline
You can choose whether other members can see your online status. To change this setting or manage other privacy preferences, visit Control your experience.
If something goes wrong
If you get a message that offends you or breaks our guidelines:
- Tap ‘Report’ under the specific offending message
- Or, to report the member, tap the three dots (⋯) in the top right corner, then choose ‘Report’
- Our team will review and take action as needed
Tips for great conversations
- Keep it friendly—say hello and mention something from their profile
- Ask open questions and share a little about yourself
- Avoid generic or copy-paste messages
- Stay respectful and kind—that’s how the best connections start
Having trouble sending messages?
Try these quick fixes:
- Update the app to the latest version
- Check your internet connection
- Log out and back in
